On-site registration opened at 08:00 on Tuesday, 29 April 2014. All participants were required to wear their identification badges at all times during the meeting.

Visa Requirements

Participants were advised to check visa requirements for temporary visitors to the Philippines well in advance of travel. It was recommended to contact the nearest Philippine embassy or consulate for the most current entry regulations and to allow sufficient processing time.

Accommodation

Several hotels near ADB Headquarters were recommended for participants:

  • Marco Polo Hotel Ortigas

Participants were responsible for making their own reservations directly with the hotel of their choice.

Travel & Insurance

Participants were strongly encouraged to arrange comprehensive travel and medical insurance for the duration of their stay. The organisers did not assume liability for personal accidents, illness, or loss of personal property.

Weather & Currency

Manila's climate in April is warm and humid. Participants were advised to dress accordingly. Currency exchange rates vary daily; participants were encouraged to check prevailing rates before travel and use authorised money changers or banks.
